How to Care for Your Grip Socks: Washing, Drying and Making Them Last

Grip socks work hard every session. A few simple habits keep them feeling fresh and performing well for longer.

Wash inside out

Turning your socks inside out before washing keeps the printed sole pattern away from direct friction against other items in the wash. It's a small habit that keeps the print looking sharp wash after wash.

Cooler water, gentler cycle

You don't need a hot wash to get grip socks clean. A 30 degree cycle is usually enough to keep them fresh without unnecessary heat.

Skip the tumble dryer

Air drying takes a bit longer, but it's the better habit for any printed sole. Heat isn't doing you any favours here, so let them dry naturally.

Rotate more than one pair

If you're training multiple times a week, rotating between two pairs gives each one proper time to fully dry and recover between sessions. It's better for the fabric, and it means you're never pulling on a damp pair before training.

Know when to retire them

The Dhaka grip pattern on our Grip Socks V2.5 is built into the sole, not printed on top, so it's not something that fades or lifts with wash and wear. What does eventually ease off is the fabric itself: the snug fit and cushioning that made them feel new. When that goes, that's your sign, not the grip.
